Occidental College alums, Bryce Rademan and Robert Wicklund have established an L.A. eatery centered on the European study abroad favorite– the doner kabab! This innovative recreation of the doner, served with fresh locally grown ingredients, has excited college students alike and has left many Angelenos coming back for more. With locations in Eagle Rock, Little Tokyo, and Los Feliz, Spitz has surely contributed to the development and popularity of these up-and-coming L.A. neighborhoods through its culinary masterpiece.
As the inspiration originating from their study aboard program to Spain, Rademan and Wicklund have done a fantastic job at incorporating a Spanish flare to this street food Mediterranean cuisine. This is most evident at the popular bar top at Spitz, Little Tokyo which offers home crafted red, rose, and white sangria, paired perfectly with either a wrap or sandwich. However, we can say with confidence that any item off their Mediterranean menu will surely bring you back to those exciting times while on your very own study abroad trip!
